The Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology ICT is one of the 67 institutes that currently make up the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.

Beside contractual research for industry, the Fraunhofer ICT also works with commercial enterprises in research projects co-funded by the German government and the European Union.

Over a total area of 210.000 m2 we have 12.000 m2 of pilot plants, test stands and technical workshops, and a further 13.000 m2 of laboratories, infrastructure and office space.

Approximately 550 people are currently employed at the Fraunhofer ICT. Under the directorship of Prof. Dr. Peter Elsner, the overall budget in 2015 was around 38,3 million €.
